With AMMO there are no centralized banking overlords: the network is run by the people who stake and run masternodes, and the treasury is spent only on proposals the masternodes vote for. Planet
As good as crypto is, the reliance of older legacy blockchains on ridiculous amounts of electricity and energy burn just wasn't an acceptable compromise for AMMO. As such, AMMO runs on Proof of Stake since v1.1.1: blocks are made by wallets that hold AMMO, not by mining rigs, so the network runs on ordinary computers. A staking node runs on a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 with a 64-bit OS.

Members collect NUGGETS for taking part on GLiBz, the western-themed community of the AMMOcoin ecosystem. NUGGETS have no cash value; spend them inside GLiBz, including on selected Schwag'n Depot items in the GLiBz reward catalogue.
SWAP FOR AMMO
NUGGETS that come from activity on GLiBz (never paid-for NUGGETS) can be swapped for AMMO on GLiBz, at the current GLiBz swap rate (tiered and capped per member each month). You can also stake and run a masternode to help secure the network.

Masternode tiers
The QuarterMaster reserve holds AMMO set aside for 2,350 masternode positions in three tiers. It is an off-chain programme run by the AMMOcoin project, funded from the block-1 reserve after the v1.0 airdrop is paid, together with voluntary pledges from the early contributors who hold the largest v1.0 balances. Positions are never sold: they are redeemed only with NUGGETS that come from activity on GLiBz (never cash, card, AMMO or paid-for NUGGETS), or awarded directly. There is no way to pay for one.
