Privacy
Privacy is an afterthought for a lot of cryptocurrency. AMMO gives you real tools for it, and teaches you to use them, because tools you don't use only give you the illusion of privacy.
Transparent by default. AMMOcoin is built on PIVX code. Regular AMMO addresses work like Bitcoin's: the addresses and amounts of every transaction are public on the blockchain.
Shielded when you choose. From v1.1.1, AMMO supports Sapling shielded addresses, the zk-SNARK technology PIVX adopted from Zcash. When coins move between shielded addresses, the blockchain does not show the sender, the receiver or the amount.

ammocoin-cli shieldsendmany "from_transparent" '[{"address":"<shield_address>","amount":10}]'

Know the limits. Shielding is optional. Moving coins from a transparent address into a shielded one, or back out, shows the transparent side. Your IP address is visible to the peers your node connects to. Use shielded addresses for private payments, don't reuse transparent addresses, and encrypt and back up your wallet.1
Spend time learning these habits; knowledge is power. You can also learn alongside the community on GLiBz.
1 AMMO is not a proponent of its network being used to circumvent or bypass an individual’s local, state or federal tax or financial reporting obligations. It only strives to offer the same level of individual responsibility and freedom as cash. Every individual is responsible for their own actions. ↩
