🔄 AMMOcoin Network Migration

⏰ 90-Day Migration Window

Migrate your AMMOcoin v1.0 holdings to the new v1.1.0 network. This is a complete network upgrade with enhanced security, privacy features, and improved performance.

⚠️ Action Required for All v1.0 Holders

This is NOT a simple update. AMMOcoin v1.1.0 is a completely new network based on PIVX 5.x (upgraded from PIVX 3.x). Your v1.0 coins will NOT automatically transfer.

Migration Deadline: April 3, 2026 (90 days from network launch on January 3, 2026)

📋 Migration Process Overview

1Backup Your v1.0 Wallet

Before doing anything else, create a backup of your v1.0 wallet.dat file and store it in multiple safe locations (external drive, encrypted cloud storage, etc.).

⚠️ This is CRITICAL

Without your v1.0 wallet backup, you cannot prove ownership of your coins and will lose access to your holdings.

2Install AMMOcoin v1.1.0

Pre-built binaries are available for all platforms. Download from the Downloads page or GitHub Releases.

3Generate v1.1.0 Receiving Address(es)

Create one or more addresses in your v1.1.0 wallet where your migrated coins will be sent:

ammocoin-cli getnewaddress "Migration"

You can create multiple addresses if you want your balance split — for example, a staking address and a masternode collateral address.

4Email the Team

Email [email protected] with the subject: v1.0 Transfer Request

Include in your email:

Example: Single Address

I will be sending 50,000 AMMO to the disposal address.
Please send the full amount to:
  Af7kQ2mN... — 50,000 AMMO

Example: Multiple Addresses

I will be sending 60,000 AMMO to the disposal address.
Please distribute as follows:
  Af7kQ2mN... — 40,000 AMMO (staking)
  Ah2mX9cL... — 10,000 AMMO (masternode collateral)
  Aj4pR8dN... — 10,000 AMMO (savings)

The team will reply with the v1.0 disposal wallet address to send your coins to.

5Send v1.0 AMMO to Disposal Wallet

Once you receive the disposal wallet address from the team, send your v1.0 AMMO to it. This is a normal transaction on the v1.0 network — it creates immutable on-chain proof that you owned and transferred those coins.

ammocoin-cli sendtoaddress "DISPOSAL_WALLET_ADDRESS" 50000

You can send in multiple transactions if you prefer. Each transfer will be matched with an equivalent v1.1.0 distribution. Save your transaction ID(s) for your records.

6Receive v1.1.0 AMMO

Once the team confirms your v1.0 transfer on-chain, they will send the equivalent amount to your specified v1.1.0 address(es) from the 250M distribution fund. This typically takes 24-48 hours.

Monitor your v1.1.0 balance:

ammocoin-cli getbalance

Both transactions — your v1.0 send and the v1.1.0 distribution — are permanently recorded on their respective blockchains, creating an immutable audit trail.

🏛️ Masternode Operators

Fresh Masternode Setup Required

v1.0 masternode configurations do not carry over to v1.1.0. After claiming your v1.0 balance (you need at least 10,000 AMMO collateral), you must set up a fresh masternode on v1.1.0:

  1. Complete the transfer process (Steps 1-6 above) to receive your v1.0 balance on v1.1.0
  2. Set up a new VPS running v1.1.0 (or upgrade your existing VPS)
  3. Configure the masternode following the standard v1.1.0 masternode setup
  4. Lock 10,000 AMMO collateral in your v1.1.0 wallet
  5. Start the masternode

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I send my v1.0 AMMO in multiple transactions?

A: Yes. Send as many transfers as you like to the disposal wallet. Each will be matched with an equivalent v1.1.0 distribution. Email [email protected] with updated instructions for each transfer.

Q: Can I split my balance across multiple v1.1.0 addresses?

A: Yes. In your email, specify each v1.1.0 address and the amount to send to each. For example, you could put 10,000 AMMO toward masternode collateral and the rest into a staking address.

Q: What happens if I miss the 90-day deadline (April 3, 2026)?

A: Remaining distribution funds will be returned to the community treasury. Contact [email protected] if you need an extension.

Q: What about my masternode?

A: You must set up a fresh masternode on v1.1.0 after transferring your collateral. See the Masternode Operators section above.

Q: I lost my v1.0 wallet. Can I still migrate?

A: No. Without your v1.0 wallet, you cannot send coins to the disposal wallet. The on-chain transfer is the proof of ownership.

Q: What happens to my v1.0 coins after I send them?

A: They remain in the disposal wallet permanently on the v1.0 chain as an immutable record of your migration. The v1.0 network will eventually be shut down.

Q: Is there a minimum transfer amount?

A: No. You can transfer any amount. The only cost is the standard v1.0 network transaction fee.

Q: Do I need to build from source?

A: No. Pre-built binaries are available for all platforms (macOS, Windows, Linux x86_64, and ARM64). See Step 2 above or the Downloads page.
